Editing a Webpage
Contribute enables you to update web pages in the following ways:
• Create new web pages.
• Enter new text and insert images,tables, and videos.
• Create links to web pages, Microsoft® Office® documents, or other files.
• Insert content from Microsoft Office documents directly into web pages.

Edit a web page
You can edit pages on any website you’ve connected to. When you browse to such a website, the Edit Page button is enabled.
To edit a page:
1. Browse to the page you want to edit.
Note: The web address of the site you are editing wont be the www.utas.edu.au adress as you will be doing modifications on a development server and not the actual live university site. For most sites the adress will be http://webdev.admin.utas.edu.au/contribute_dev/******area*****. An easier way is to go to the Contribute start page and click the link to your page.

2. Click the Edit Page button in the toolbar.
Contribute opens a draft of the page as shown below.

3. Make changes as you like. eg inserting text, images, videos, tables or creating links.

(Windows only)
You can edit web pages directly from a browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox using Contribute plug-ins.
To edit a webpage in Contribute from your browser:
1. Open or navigate to the webpage in your browser.
Note: You need to have a connection to your website before editing a webpage in your browser.

2. Click the Edit in Contribute button in the toolbar.
The web page opens as a draft in the Contribute editor.
