BHP Billiton - TEMCO Scholarship in Science

TEMCO (Tasmanian Electro Metallurgical Company), a wholly owned subsidiary of BHP Billiton, has Australia's only manganese alloy smelter at Bell Bay.

Dave Warren Honours Scholarship in Optical Astronomy

Two scholarships are provided by Dave Warren, an associate research fellow in the School of Mathematics and Physics, to encourage high-level research in optical astronomy.

David Paget Memorial Scholarship

The late David Paget made a significant contribution to the study of mathematics in Tasmania through his work at UTAS and by coaching for the Maths Olympiad. This scholarship supports students in mathematics.

Dr Peter Smith Scholarship in the Physical Sciences

Up to four scholarships are provided by Dr Peter Smith to encourage students who intend to enrol in the Bachelor of Science degree and to study the physical sciences of chemistry, mathematics and physics in their first year at university - subjects often designated as the basic or enabling sciences.

Newcrest Mining Ltd Scholarship in Exploration Geology

This scholarship is funded by Newcrest Mining Ltd, to encourage Bachelor of Science students to pursue honours in geochemistry, geophysics or economic geology.

Radio Astronomy Honours Scholarship
