D&MV McDonald Scholarship in Music
The D&MV McDonald Scholarship in Music was established at Conservatorium of Music in 2008 by the late Dawson and Margaret McDonald to allow students of the violin, viola and cello to study in the United Kingdom with a selected master musician.
Eligibility
The scholarship provides support to a final year undergraduate, honours or masters student to fund a residency in the UK for up to 10 weeks during January/February 2010. The selected student must be enrolled in a full-time course (minimum load of 75%) at the Conservatorium of Music studying one of the above instruments.
Amount
A package of support will be provided up to $15,000. This includes an airfare (maximum $3,000), accommodation and living allowance (maximum $8,000) and tuition fees (expected to be $4,000 - $5,000). Note: the scholarship may not cover your full costs for the program.
Duration
Eight to ten weeks residential course allowing the student to return for Semester 1, 2010.
