Captain Gordon P Olley Scholarship in Aviation

Dr June Olley has made this scholarship available in memory of her aviator father who was one of the pioneers of British commercial aviation.

Eligibility

Available to current students, studying any undergraduate or postgraduate course, from any faculty or school e.g. law, medicine, history, art, science (incl. food studies), whose study program relates in some way to the aviation/aeronautics industry.

For students entering the final two years of Medicine or final year of Nursing, there will be an opportunity to spend four weeks with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (subject to a placement availability). In this case, the scholarship would be fully applied to this activity.

Students will be selected on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate a real interest in aviation.

Duration

One year with the option of another year depending on academic progress and funding availability.
