James Fenton Memorial Scholarship

James Fenton was a pioneer farmer in the north-west of Tasmania, the first private European settler west of the Mersey River and an instigator of farming in the region. This scholarship supports north-west students to reside at Jane Franklin Hall, one of the University of Tasmania's residential colleges.

Eligibility

Available to a student relocating from the north-west of Tasmania to commence study at the Hobart campus.

Amount

$4,000 per year (paid towards accommodation fees at Jane Franklin Hall)

Duration

Up to three years
