Equity Graduate Research Scholarship

This scholarship is provided by the University of Tasmania.

Eligibility

Available to a student undertaking a research masters or doctoral degree in 2010, who holds (or will obtain in 2009) at least an upper second-class honours degree and who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident. Applicants must be from one or more of the following equity groups: students from low socio-economic backgrounds; women students in non-traditional areas (engineering, applied physics, information technology, architecture, economics); students with a disability; students from a non-English speaking background; students who are primary carers.

Amount

Equal to an Australian Postgraduate Award

Duration

Up to two years for a research masters degree, up to three years for a doctorate.
