Tasmania University Scholarship
Up to 50 Tasmania University Scholarships are available to students who have performed very well at school, TAFE or in the initial years of university study at another institution, and who are enrolling for the first time at the University of Tasmania.
Eligibility
As a general guide, these scholarships will only be offered to students achieving the highest tertiary entrance scores, or students who have achieved at a similar high standard in a TAFE or university course. At least two of these scholarships will be provided in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery covering the cost of HECS fees. International students who have completed Year 12 in a school in Tasmania or in another Australian state may apply for these awards. Students taking the International Baccalaureate are also welcome to apply.
On-going Eligibility
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Credit or Distinction result in all units studied each semester.
Amount
Payment of course fees (HECS). Interstate students may also receive help with relocation expenses.

Up to four years (subject to continuing high-level academic performance)
