Variation of Enrolment

The final date for any variations (either additions or withdrawals) is the unit census date for each unit you are enrolled in. Your enrolment must be finalised by the unit census date to ensure you do not receive any financial or academic penalty. You can check your unit census date when you are adding or withdrawing your units in your eStudentCentre account. Please check your enrolment online prior to the census dates to ensure that your enrolment is correct..

Any changes to your enrolment, including complete withdrawals, must be made by the relevant unit census date. Variations are to be completed through the eStudentCentre wherever possible. Some units are restricted from online enrolment, so if you wish to enrol in one of these units, print off a Variation of Enrolment form from the current details tab in your eStudentCentre account and contact your Faculty or School for approval.

We recommend you seek course advice when considering changes to your enrolment. It is not sufficient to advise the lecturer that you will no longer be attending classes. You should withdraw from your units through your eStudentCentre account and all changes can be made under Manage Enrolment.

PLEASE NOTE:

It is your responsibility to contact the Student Centre if your enrolment or Student Contribution details are incorrect. It is also your responsibility to make sure that the Student Centre has your current address details. Students should make themselves aware of the relevant census dates. All census dates are available in the Course and Unit Handbook.

Changing your units

To make changes to your enrolment, log in to the eStudentCentre.  Please make sure you submit your changes and press the finish key to complete your variation of enrolment.

To add a unit to your enrolment, start by searching for a unit that you would like to study by entering a unit code or title, and click on the search button. When you have located the correct unit in the list below, click the Add to my enrolment link. This moves the unit to your Units Selected list at the top of the screen. Continue selecting units until you have all the units you need. We encourage you to add units for the full year.

To withdraw a unit you are currently enrolled in, click on the link to withdraw without penalty and your selected unit will have a line ruled through it. If you withdraw after the unit census date there may be academic penalties depending on the date you submit a withdrawal. All withdrawals after the census date will incur financial liability.

If you are able to demonstrate special circumstances for withdrawal after the census date or the academic penalty date you may be eligible to withdraw without academic or financial penalty. You need to complete a Remission Form and submit both the application and supporting evidence to the Student Centre at your campus. For full details on withdrawal without academic penalty please refer to the Remission Guidelines.  There are two forms available, one for Domestic Students and one for International Students.

Changing your course

You cannot change a course online, you must have approval from the Faculty you wish to change to.  You will need to speak to the School and Faculty Officer. The Faculty Officer will advise you on the correct process. If you wish, you can also apply for admission for the new course.  Domestic students need to apply through Admissions and International students will need to contact the International Admissions Office.

You are encouraged to seek advice from the School, Faculty or a Course Coordinator before withdrawing. To proceed with your withdrawal, log on to eStudentCentre and through the manage enrolment tab withdraw from the appropriate unit(s) or all units for a course withdrawal.

Checking your enrolment variation

You can log into the eStudentCentre and check your enrolment at any time. Note that if you have added or removed units on eStudentCentre your changes are processed overnight and you can not make further changes until the change has been amended..
