Enrolment Process

To enrol in a course at University you need to apply for Admission and receive a Letter of Offer. Your Letter of Offer will contain an Application for Enrolment. This is where you select units you wish to study for the course you were offered. Your Application for Enrolment needs to be approved by a Sub-Dean or Faculty Officer. This is to ensure that you are selecting the correct units for your degree and your unit selection complies with the rules of the degree.

When completing the form you must ensure you enrol in all units you wish to study for 2008. All sections on the form must be completed to be valid. Forms that are not complete will be returned.

Your enrolment form must be received in the Student Centre on or before the date indicated in your Letter of Offer. If instructed in your enrolment package, you must also provide a validly completed Request for Commonwealth Support form. You may also hand in these forms on the Enrolment Advice Day.

Your enrolment and all administrative details must be finalised by the census dates. If you are enrolled in a unit at the relevant census date you will be liable for the fees and charges for that unit for the relevant semester, even if you intended to withdraw from the unit. It is not sufficient to advise the lecturer that you will no longer be attending classes; notification must be in writing, addressed to the Student Centre, and submitted prior to the census date.

CONFIRMATION OF YOUR ENROLMENT

You will receive confirmation of your enrolment starting from late December. You may also check your enrolment online.

If you have provided your Application for Enrolment on time and have not received a confirmation by mid February you should contact the Student Centre. You cannot be examined or assessed in any units in which you are not enrolled.

ENROLMENT IN SUMMER SCHOOL


You need to complete the details of the unit on your enrolment form and ensure your enrolment form reaches the Student Centre on or before the date indicated in your Letter of Offer. You must have prior approval to enrol in Summer School Units.

ENROLMENT IN WINTER SCHOOL


If you wish to enrol in a unit that is offered over June and July you need to enrol on your Application for Enrolment or a variation of enrolment prior to the applicable census dates.

Copies of your Enrolment forms are available online in our Enrolment & Fees Notices section which can be accessed using your email username and password. Please select the most current notice to ensure accuracy.

ENROLMENT IN SPRING SCHOOL

If you wish to enrol in a unit that is offered in Spring School (November - December 2007) you need to enrol on your enrolment form or by submitting a variation of enrolment prior to the applicable census dates.
