Re-enrolment

Re-enrolment for 2008 is now open!

It is important to re-enrol by 19 October 2007 so that we can plan the units that will be on offer next year, as well as set class sizes and arrange teaching staff.
Remember at this stage you should re-enrol as though you will pass all units in Semester 2, 2007. You will be able to make further changes to your re-enrolment after exam results are released in November.

For the first time we are allowing students to submit their re-enrolment online! This means that most students can complete the re-enrolment process online in approximately 5 minutes - wherever and whenever they choose!

You do not need to get your re-enrolment approved to submit it! Faculties will begin approving re-enrolments after release of Semester 2 results on 30 November 2007.

Can I re-enrol online?

Most student are able to re-enrol online, however students who may be transferring to a Law degree, have taken a leave of absence, wish to change their degree or have been excluded from their current course are not able to - you will need to use your paper re-enrolment form.

To re-enrol online, visit the Course & Unit Handbook to decide on the units you wish to study, and then log onto the online re-enrolment system to complete your re-enrolment.

Online Variations are now open for 2008!

If you would like to add or remove units for any semester in 2008 you may use our online variation facility below.

Start 2008 Online Variation

(Note: If you wish to enrol in a unit that is offered in Spring School (November – December) you need to enrol in the current academic year using your most recent 2007 enrolment statement. You need to complete the form and send it to the Student Centre prior to the start of the unit.)

If you are unsure as to whether you want to re-enrol online, you might like to attend an online re-enrolment help session or view a tour of the online re-enrolment system.

Can I still re-enrol or vary my enrolment on paper?

All students are welcome to re-enrol or vary on paper. Your re-enrolment form has been sent to your UTAS email address. You do not need to seek approval for your re-enrolment at this stage.
Enrolment confirmations (on which you can vary your enrolment) will be issued mid-December. In the intermin if you have already re-enrolled and need to vary your enrolment urgently please visit the Student Centre for assistance.

If you have lost your re-enrolment form you can print another copy and return it to the Student Centre. Before you re-enrol on paper, please check the re-enrolment information provided by your Faculty.

When can I vary my re-enrolment?

  • Summer School 2008 (Semester 3) variations are now open.
  • All other 2008 variations will open on Monday 3 December (shortly after Semester 2 result release). You can also attend Re-enrolment Advice Days in December if you require further course and unit advice.

How do I enrol in Spring School 2007?

If you wish to enrol in a unit that is offered in Spring School (November – December) you need to enrol in the current academic year using your most recent 2007 enrolment statement. You need to complete the form and send it to the Student Centre prior to the start of the unit.

Additional Information

Students transferring to a Law degree

Students who are currently studying a degree with the LAW121 and LAW122 units may be eligible to transfer their course of study to the Bachelor of Laws or a combined Bachelor of Laws degree. Eligible students have received an Application to Transfer to Law and should complete this and return to the Student Centre. Because this is a change of course, you are not able to re-enrol online.

Students who have an approved Leave of Absence

Students who have been granted a Leave of Absence until 2008 will be posted and emailed their re-enrolment form in early October. If you can remember your UTAS email username and password you may re-enrol online, alternatively please return the paper form to the Student Centre. If you wish to reset your email password please contact the IT Service Desk.

Students who wish to change their degree

If you wish to change your degree you cannot re-enrol online. Students will need to apply for their new degree.

Students who are excluded from a course of study

If you wish to enrol in a course from which you were excluded after the period of exclusion has passed, you must re-apply for admission to the course and receive an offer of a place.
