Study Areas

The course aims to meet the needs of students who may have a limited background in arts, and in academic studies in general, by:
  • providing an introductory unit in academic literacies, titled 'Thinking and Writing at University', as well as more advanced units on 'Computer Applications' and 'Critical Thinking'
  • providing opportunities to acquire knowledge, attitudes and skills in a range of disciplines
  • providing graduates with core knowledge in at least two arts disciplines
  • developing academic and scientific skills to allow students to articulate with confidence into a Bachelors Degree for further in-depth study
