The Bachelor of Education is a 4 year pre service teaching program intended to provide teaching practice and skills to enable the beginning teacher to embrace the secondary years of teaching (grade 7 grade 12), with the exception of the Health & Physical Education specialisation which prepares for Kindergarten to grade 12.

The course will lay a foundation for further professional development in both theory and practice of education. The program is offered internally at Launceston, full time or part time.

  • Health & Physical Education (Kindergarten to year 12)
  • Health & Physical Education AND Health Science (Secondary)
  • Health & Physical Education AND Outdoor Education (Secondary)
  • Health & Physical Education AND Design & Technology (Secondary)
  • Design & Technology (Secondary)
Design & Technology: The single Design & Technology specialisation provides students the choice of the following combinations; Wood & Metal Design AND Computer Aided Design, Wood & Metal Design AND Textiles, Food Studies & Nutrition AND Textiles, or Food Studies & Nutrition AND Computer Aided Design. The combination of Design & Technology with Health & Physical Education specialisation provides students with the choice of either Food Studies & Nutrition OR Wood & Metal Design.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Education will be qualified to teach in public and private sector schools from Grade 7 to Grade 12.
