Applications for 2009 have now opened
The easiest way to apply for admission is through our Apply-by-web facility.
Before you start . . .
Please ensure that you have everything you need. For example:
- Course preference selection - if you are unsure, please refer to the UTAS Course and Unit Handbook
- Certified evidence of any academic qualifications attained overseas, at TAFE or at a College of Advanced Education
- Certified evidence of Australian or New Zealand Citizenship, Permanent Resident Visa or Permanent Humanitarian Visa if you were not born in Australia
Year 12 applicants should be able to complete the online application in about 10 minutes.
Non Year 12 applicants may take 20-40 minutes depending on whether you are required to complete a Supporting Statement. To determine whether you need to complete this statement, please read the General Entry Requirements for University. We strongly recommend that you prepare your Supporting Statement in advance.

2008 Applicants
Applicants who applied for 2008 entry to the University of Tasmania will not be able to submit an online 2009 application until the 12th August. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this technical restriction.
